Constellations is the digital mapping of the teachings and research of Yehuda Emmanual Safran. This site is organized by each week's seminar topic. These topics have been a part of several courses including 12 Dialogical and Poetic Strategies and Adolf Loos: Our Contemporary, taught at Columbia University, Pratt Institute, and Rhode Island School of Design. 

 

Extrapolated from decades of inquires into philosophy, art, literature, music, film, and architecture, it exists to construct a theoretical standpoint outside the conventions of our time. Not simply learning from the past, but rather building one's own perspective or framework in time.

These mappings assist designers with understanding the origins of a particular concept in order to ground their projects amidst the great works.
